This website collects as little as it can. This page says exactly what, why, who handles it and what you can ask us to do.

Who is responsible
Minimise is the trading name of the studio's owner, based in Manchester, United Kingdom, and is the controller of the information you send through this website. Write to hello@minimise.ai about anything on this page. If you need the owner's full name, ask and we will tell you.
What we collect
- Your project brief: your name, email address and message, and, if you give them, your business, the services you ticked and how you heard about us.
- Emails you send us at hello@minimise.ai, and our replies.
- Technical details of each visit: your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, which our host records to deliver the site and keep it safe.
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind, and the site loads nothing from other companies.
Why, and on what basis
- To answer your enquiry and talk about your project. You asked us to; in law, these are steps taken at your request before any contract.
- To keep the site and the form safe from abuse. This is in our legitimate interest and yours: it stops spam and attacks. Your IP address is used to limit how often one connection can send, and is not stored with your brief.
- To keep business records if we go on to work together, as the law requires.
We never sell your information, and we never add you to a mailing list.
Who handles it for us
- Netlify hosts the website. The check that runs on your brief before it is delivered runs on Netlify's servers in London.
- Our own form service stores a copy of your brief and emails it to us, using a database provider and an email delivery provider.
- Our email providers hold the emails we send and receive.
Some of these providers are based in, or use servers in, the United States or the European Union. Where your information leaves the UK, it is covered by the safeguards in their data protection terms. Each of them may use it only to provide their service to us.
How long we keep it
- If we do not work together: we delete your brief and our emails about it within 12 months of our last contact.
- If we do: we keep project records for as long as the work continues and for six years after it ends, which is how long UK law expects business records to be kept.
- Technical logs are kept by our host for a short period and then deleted automatically.
Ask us to delete your information sooner and we will, unless the law requires us to keep it.
Cookies and storage
This website sets no cookies. It stores two small notes in your own browser, which never leave your device: your choice of light or dark, if you make one, and a note that you have already seen the opening animation, which is cleared when you close the tab.
Keeping it safe
Everything travels encrypted over HTTPS. Before a brief is delivered it is checked for spam: your browser solves a small puzzle in the background, with no cookies and no outside service. Only we can read what you send.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete it;
- stop or limit how we use it, or object to our use of it;
- send it to you, or to someone else, in a common format.
Email hello@minimise.ai. It is free, and we will reply within one month. If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, though we would like the chance to put it right first.
Changes to this page
If what we collect or who handles it changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
